Amigos, me encontré con una información que me dejó un tanto extrañado hoy.

Según informaciones entregadas por el diseñador del USF1 dijo que el auto de este curioso equipo que teóricamente debutará en la F1 este año, tendrá una innovación con respecto a los vehiculos actuales. Tendrá una caja de velocidades transversal en lugar de una caja longitudinal.

Tal vez no es tan complejo encontrarlo en Gugul pero no pude hallar un documento que me dejase tranquilo, por eso les pregunto acá, cuales serían las principales diferencias/ventajas que podría obtener USF1 al implementar este sistema? Son muy distintas las cajas de velocidades? Es legal? (según la nota de Corsa, si porque Williams probó una en 1998)

Bueno, de que es legal es legal, te acordaras del Ferrari 312T de los años 70's, la T se referia a la caja de cambios transversal, ese tipo de cajas de cambio, las flechas de los engranes van alineadas con las flechas de la ruedas, su ventaja es que se gana en espacio longitudinal pudiendo montar el motor mas atras, cerca del eje trasero, ahora debido a que los tanques deberan ser mas grandes, es posible que varios equipos vuelva a buscar esa solución, para mantener la distancia entre ejes en la medida adecuada.

Es logico que USF1 informe lo que piensa hacer al ente tecnico regulador para asegurarse que la inversion no se vaya a perder porque la tilden de ilegal. Como Ivi nos comenta...es legal legal, pero mi pregunta seria: Por que USF1, en vez de realizar su consulta en privado, lo divulga a los cuatro vientos?

Será, que el equipo USF1, no esta tan maleado como los equipos actuales, que ven "moros con tranchete", en cualquier desarrollo, pensando que se los robaron a ellos, aduciendo espionaje industrial?.

O sera que el diseñador es muy amigo de Felipe y se lo comento solamente a el?

La verdad es que es muy extraña la noticia, parece que fue una conversación "de pasillo" con un periodista de la Revista Corsa del diseñador del USF1. Y obviamente, este periodista no se quedo callado y la subió a su web...porque no sale en ningún otro lado. Bueno, ya es muy tarde para diseñar un auto, así que de ser cierta la noticia, USF1 tendra su caja diferente, si es que alguna vez llega a ver la pista.

Pues ni idea. Hay muchos rumores en muchos sitios de internet, en muchos foros ánglos, sobre un aparente despelote y falta de profesionalismo en US-F1. Parece que ni transmisión tienen, ni longitudinal ni transversal ni diagonal. Es difícil saber en realidad cómo está el equipo porque es tan precaria la situación en US-F1 que ni siquiera hay acceso a información, no la hay.

It got hot in the kitchen for a while because of my posts, but the situation is now so chaotic and the lying taking place borders on complete fraud.

The car is easily 2 months away from being complete--and thats if they had the money and manpower to complete it and they gave decision making to the appropriate people.
Ken couldn't make payroll at the end of January and finally paid everyone 1/2 of what they were owed this past Monday, the 2nd half is promised this Monday--I'm not holding my breath. About 2/3rds of staff are showing up semi-regularly…who can blame them..there is little to work on.

Everything is hand to mouth -- all of the suppliers are on COD terms if they will supply at all. We haven't seen a Cosworth because they still owe 2.5M euros for them. We have no materials to turn into parts--but assumes that we'd have drawings to produce parts from Anderson Jr….another complete incompetent that barely got his High School diploma!

The boys in the carbon shop don't have the drawings or the tooling they need to produce the tub, let alone the entire car. The tub alone is weeks away from being able to send for FIA testing. At least they don't have to worry about making the suspension pieces--they are all going to be crafted from steel! No wheels, tires or brakes are in the shop, the transmission hasn't been seen either.

Poor Pechito…he shows up yesterday and there is no tub for him to sit in or to get a seat fitting in. He's told--"thats what happens when the money comes in late"

Like it's his fault…Peter and Ken are perhaps the worst managers F1 has ever seen. Peter and Ken convince themselves that they are brilliant businessmen, when they don't understand the basics of an org chart, chain of command, delegation of responsibility..not a single person knows their role, responsibility or job function and if they are--they aren't allowed to do it. The basics of management require that in order to make people accountable, they must have the authority and the financial ability to make decisions in their area of responsibility---Ken will have none of that!.

Ken makes every decision himself despite being surrounded by real F1 engineering, production and marketing & communications experts that would do a much better job if left to do it. When challenged on any decision or direction, your job is usually threatened or he leaves for Starbucks to avoid the confrontation. We were all told the team had 3 years funding and Ken professed he wanted to be, "the dumbest guy in the room", nothing could be further from the truth…the whole adventure has been built on one lie after another and tightly controlled by Ken and his flavor-of-the-day believers.

When he can't make payroll…he goes to Daytona to try and drum up money from unsuspecting gentleman racers who think they are "investing" in something…the dream has turned into a con job.

We think Bernie is on to them and Hurley must be at this point too. Any reasonable person could see how mis-managed the whole operation is.

Its all so sad--the opportunity lost, the dream investor scammed….. dream to nightmare due to extreme mismanagement and the egos of K & P.

If the cancer were removed, real management and investment installed-we could make a go of it--but not until Spain……at the earliest.

I can't wait to see what kind witch hunt transpires from this post! Screw them--getting the truth out will hopefully create some transparency to their scheme.

La mencion a Pechito de su "auto reproche" llega a niveles inusitados. Como es que FIA los acepta y no tienen nada armado? Falta casi un mes pa comenzar esta vaina y...no hay nada?

La Caja Invisible se llama la nueva tecnologia entonces.

Mmmmmm... no sé, tal vez ese forista está bastante al borde, digamos. O tal vez Windsor tiene bastante palanca, quién sabe, yo creo que todo eso de equipos nuevos y tantas entradas de equipos chicos a la F1 se dió en la FIA solo para respaldar a Max Mosley, que insisto, es literalmente el padre putativo de lo que en éste momento hay en la F1 pero que si el señor Todt puede llegar a manejar bien pues sería un legado bastante bueno y un cambio en la base de la F1 que sirva. No cambiarán los equipos de punta pero los equipos teloneros si pueden generar algo de "movimiento" para la F1. Por lo menos a los de Virgin los veo serios (por lo de la plata ), falta ver Lotus y demás.
